Sarah subsequently spent the rest of her childhood with an aunt in New Orleans. When Sarah`s father`s body is pulled from a lake, Sarah returns to Maine to prove to everyone what she has believed all along--that her father committed no crime and is an innocent man. However, the townspeople aren`t so quick to believe Sarah`s theory, and she must turn to childhood friend Tony DeMarco to help prove her father` innocence. Tony, however, is hiding his own secrets, and as Sarah falls in love with him she risks putting herself in serious danger.
