Directed by acclaimed Spanish filmmaker Jose Juan Bigas Luna, HUEVOS DE ORO (GOLDEN BALLS) stars Javier Bardem in his breakthrough role (for which he also received a Goya Award nomination). In this satire of Latin machismo and the excesses of the 1980s, Bardem plays Benito Gonzalez, who dreams of building a mighty skyscraper and thereby securing fame and wealth for himself. His main advantages are his uncontrollable self-assurance and skills as a lothario. He marries the daughter of a rich banker while keeping a mistress on the side, but his betrayal of both women begin to destroy his plans for the building as well as his chauvinist self-confidence. Bigas Luna brings his trademarks--an honest exploration of sexuality and surrealistic imagery--to this tale of male egotism and its undoing.DVD Features:Region (unknown)Keep CaseAnamorphic Widescreen - 1.85Audio: Dolby Digital 5.1 Stereo - CastilianAdditional Release Material: Trailers Neutral Spanish Audio

Vincent Van Gogh voluntarily confined himself to the asylum in Saint-Rimy from May 1889 to May 1990. Probably the most difficult year of his entire life, it would also prove to be one of his most artistically creative--yielding some of the best works.
During this period, van Gogh produced 150 paintings boasting a new intensity of color. Vincent's brother Theo writes '...I see that you have achieved in many of your canvases...the quintessence of your thoughts about nature and living beings.' Painted in October 1889, the flame-like branches of the Mulberry Tree vibrantly reach toward the heavens. Vincent's passion is energetically defined in each brushstroke.
Paintings from this period are exhibited to critical acclaim. Gauguin writes to Vincent, 'Many artists think your work has been the most striking at the exhibition.'
Our canvas fine art replicas surpass most reproductions available in the market today.
Each canvas is recreated in amazing detail so that even the subtlest brushstroke becomes vibrant. Artist-grade canvas is hand-stretched over wooden stretcher bars by skilled artisans and hand-coated with protectants to insure archival properties.
Approximately 4 inches wide, the clean lines of the Merlot frame direct the eye to the focal point of the art.
The stunning color of the frame, similar to a rich merlot wine, works with any home dicor.
Unlike the starkness of black, Merlot adds a richness designed to work with any furniture style.
This framed canvas is being custom built for you. Please allow 5 business days for the product to leave our warehouse.
